Rebecca Yager
Get to know Rebecca Yager, one of our Tool Design Engineers. Rebecca has worked at Fullerton for a year and a half. She assists with drawing revisions and noted changes, processing remake orders for the floor, and making print drawings, whether for quotes or orders. She thinks the best part of working at Fullerton is definitely the people. She believes everyone she has met through Fullerton has been extremely supportive and personable and thinks the overall community is phenomenal.
Rebecca has two pets, a 9-year-old dog named Rover and a 17-year-old cat named Boots. Her biggest hobby is baking; she loves to make pies but also loves making her mom's recipes around Christmas time. She is currently a student at Delta and is going for her Associates in Manufacturing and Industrial Technology. She is projected to graduate in 2025 and transfer to SVSU for her bachelor's in engineering technology management.
Q&A with Rebecca
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A nurse or a doctor, my grandma worked in the hospital growing up, so I always loved the environment and the aspect of helping people. I changed my mind in high school, though, when I joined the robotics team and realized that I loved manufacturing.
If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Quesadillas are my comfort food, so I would have to say that.
What's the most played song on your phone?
It's between: You're Losing Me or Now That We Don't Talk by Taylor Swift
What are your top three highlights?
Getting both of my pets, moving into Engineering, and purchasing the car that I have now.
What is the one thing about you that would surprise people?
I never learned how to swim.
If you could witness any historical event, what would you want to see and why?
I would love to see how they built the sphinx or the pyramids in Giza. I've been fascinated with ancient Egypt since I was a child, and I would love to see what it originally looked like.
What is your go-to karaoke song?
Tequila - The Champs
What is your least favorite food? Why?
I'm not the biggest fan of spaghetti. I've had it just one too many times. I love goulash, though, so I think it's just the noodle shape.
What is your favorite line from a movie or book?
"It's only forever, not long at all." - David Bowie, Labyrinth
If you could be any animal, what would you be? Why?
A seagull. I personally despise them, but I would love to be one because it means that I could eat random people's food that looks good, scream inconveniently, and wouldn't have to deal with snow because I would just migrate when it gets cold. Plus, they're protected by the Federal Government.
What is your favorite outdoor activity?
Gardening! I had a cherry tomato plant this summer named Herbert.
