Mat Curry
Get to know Mat Curry, co-owner of the Curry Family of Companies and our VP of Sales & Marketing. Mat has been part of the Fullerton family since 1991, when he started in the stock room, nowadays Mat is busy working with our sales and marketing departments and continuously thinking of big picture ideas in how to make Fullerton a market leader in the carbide tooling industry. What Mat likes best about working at Fullerton are the people, he enjoys watching employees continue to grow and get better at their jobs every day.
Mat met his wife in college, she was a volleyball player and he was a swimmer. They have one daughter together who when she was born was a premie at only 1.5lbs (and scared them to death), but now she is 18, healthy, and works at MC Sales & Marketing while she goes to college.
Q&A with Mat
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
To take after my father and be an owner of Fullerton Tool Company.
What do you consider to be the best invention of all time?
The cell phone - I only have a flip phone and that's good enough for me.
What's the weirdest job you've ever had?
Sandwich artist at Subway - eat fresh!
If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Spaghetti and meatballs.
What's the most played song on your phone.
My phone doesn't do that.
What is your biggest achievement to date - personal or professional?
Getting a varsity letter jacket at the University of Michigan.
What is your favorite line from a movie or book?
We are gun runners "let's run some guns".
What is your favorite outdoor activity?
Snow skiing.
If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
Huntington Beach, California.
