Welcome back to our Fullerton employee spotlight series - where we shine a light on the incredible individuals who help shape our success! This month, we're excited to introduce Jason Root, our Keller/Saw Department Team Lead, who's been a part of the Fullerton family for 17 years.
Jason Root
Jason is at the helm of tool production and formation in our Keller and Saw departments, playing a vital role in creating tools that serve a wide range of manufacturing applications. His leadership doesn't stop at process management - Jason is hands-on with continuous improvement initiatives and takes pride in mentoring his teammates one-on-one, helping them sharpen their skills and grow professionally.
When asked what he enjoys most about working at Fullerton, Jason stated, "The people and day-to-day camaraderie." That sense of connection is what fuels his passion for teamwork and makes each day on the floor a good one.
Outside of work, Jason leads a full (and feathery) life. He and his wife of 13 years are nearly empty nesters with three kids - Ben, Charley, and Ava - recently graduated from high school. Their home is buzzing with two dogs, two cats, ten chickens, and two ducks. On weekends, you'll often find Jason kicking back at his backyard Tiki Bar, catching a Detroit Tigers game, or tending to outdoor projects that - let's be honest - support his wife's hobby list. He's also a longtime hunting enthusiast and meat-smoking pro, with 20+ years of experience crafting snack sticks, summer sausage, jerky, and turkey jerky like a true artisan.
Jason's commitment to quality - both in tools and turkey jerky - is what makes him such a valuable part of our team. We're lucky to have his expertise, leadership, and sense of humor keeping things sharp at Fullerton.
